Discover the hidden fear behind feeling stuck—and how to move forward with clarity.

Is Confusion Costing You?

Have you ever found yourself saying, “I’m overwhelmed with options — I don’t know what to do next”?

If so, you’re not alone.

I recently had a discovery call with someone I’ll call Anne. Throughout our conversation, she kept coming back to that feeling.

Part of my process during these calls is to actually coach while we talk — so we both get a sense of whether we’re a good fit.

During our time together, I gave Anne four simple tools she could start using right away. But the most powerful shift came when we uncovered something few people realize: the Confusion Paradigm.

Fear and the Subconscious Mind

You see, part of the subconscious mind’s job is to keep us safe. Whenever we think about stepping into something new — a dream, a change, a decision — it sounds the alarm.

And that alarm shows up as fear.

Here’s what’s sneaky: confusion is actually a form of fear.

When we feel confused, we have a logical reason not to act.

“I’m not clear yet… I need more time… I need more information…”
It feels rational. But really, it’s fear keeping us stuck, comfortably delaying action.

When I explained this to Anne, she immediately resonated. There’s a part of her — like in all of us — that’s scared to move forward, scared to make the wrong decision, and even scared of success.

(Yes, fear of success is real. Research by psychologist Dr. Robert Holden (Success Intelligence) shows that many people subconsciously fear that succeeding might cost them love, acceptance, or connection.)

We All Have Blind Spots

I once had a coach share that he stayed small for years because he didn’t want to outshine his mother — a highly successful coach herself.

It didn’t make logical sense — of course his mother loved him — but the little boy inside him feared that shining too brightly might create distance between them.

The subconscious doesn’t care about logic. It cares about protection.

The most beautiful moment with Anne came when I asked why she was considering coaching.

She said, “Because I know I can’t see what’s holding me back by myself.”

Exactly.

When we’re living inside our paradigms, we can’t see them.

It’s like trying to read the label from inside the jar.

That’s why having a coach, mentor, or trusted guide is so transformational — someone who can see from outside the box you’re living in.

Now it’s up to you.

So I ask you today:

Is confusion costing you?

Is delay standing between you and the life you would truly love?

If so, I invite you to book a Discovery Session. Link is below blog

Like Anne, you’ll leave with real tools before the call ends — whether we decide to continue together or not.

Your dreams are waiting.
Let’s meet them
