When you listen to your intuition, you’re listening to your soul.

The Whisper That Changed Everything

When the world outside feels uncertain—when a job shifts, a diagnosis lands, or a relationship dissolves—it’s easy to look outward for answers.

To grasp for control.

To overthink.

But your greatest guidance doesn’t come from outside of you.

It lives within you—quiet, steady, and wise.

It is your intuitive genius. . .

Intuition isn’t a vague feeling. It’s a form of intelligence.

The HeartMath Institute has shown that the heart has its own neural network and sends more messages to the brain than the brain sends to the heart.

When you enter a state of heart coherence—through breath, gratitude, or emotional balance—you activate the part of you that knows.

It’s that still voice that rises when you pause long enough to hear it.

And yet… fear is loud. It’s urgent.

When we let it lead, we lose connection to our inner wisdom and start looking for answers in all the wrong places.

This is why a daily energy practice matters—those quiet moments of meditation, journaling, or conscious breath.

They strengthen your intuitive muscle and bring you back to yourself.

Let me share a truth.

Last year, I was at a crossroads: Should I stay focused on coaching my regular clients—whom I love—or make space to serve cancer patients, something that had been quietly calling to me?

My intuition kept saying both–and, but I couldn’t see how. I wasn’t planning to expand my hours.

Then, while helping a client look for job opportunities, I felt a strong nudge to check LinkedIn. I wasn’t searching for myself, but right at the top was a listing for a facilitator role with the Cancer Support Community of the SF Bay Area.

It wasn’t part of my plan. I don’t have a clinical background.

But my heart knew.

I applied, was hired, and now I facilitate weekly cancer support groups—fulfilling a long-held dream born from my own healing journey.

It all unfolded through one intuitive whisper—one I might have missed had I not listened.

So when something unexpected happens, instead of reacting:

  • Pause and breathe deeply into your heart
  • Ask: “What would I love to create from this?”
  • Notice what feels expansive vs. constricting

Mary Morrissey reminds us, “Hit the pause button and wait three days.”

During that time, journal, walk in nature, meditate—whatever helps you quiet the outer noise so your inner knowing can rise.

And while you’re in that space of listening, create a list of all the good things that could come from this situation—even if, on the outside, it doesn’t look good right now.

This practice trains your awareness to look for possibilities instead of problems, and opens the door to higher, more intuitive guidance.

Do You Recognize True Intuition?

It feels calm and certain—even if it guides you through challenge.

Fear, on the other hand, feels constricting and frantic.

As Rumi said:

“Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead, let life live through you.”

This is how you access true power—not through control, but through connection.

Not by rushing, but by listening.

So today, I invite you:

Place your hand on your heart. Take three deep breaths. Ask, “What do I need to know right now?”

Then listen.

You are not alone.

You are being led.

Learn to quiet the chaos… and listen.
