“Be thankful for what you have, you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never ever have enough.”
~ Oprah Winfrey

What’s the big deal about having an attitude of gratitude no matter what?

With Thanksgiving around the corner and the new year up ahead, it’s an excellent time to evaluate your attitude of gratitude.

How grateful are you for the things, people, and events in your life? It’s easy to be thankful when things are going well, and naturally, it is challenging to say thank you when something terrible happens.

Why would you say thank you when you are facing difficulties?

The big deal about gratitude is that there is science behind the great benefits of making it your daily practice.

Gratitude is a means to transform your life; it’s a proven tool that delivers positive effects. Gratitude changes everything. Here are a few reasons to be grateful:

Improved mental health — It makes us happier. Gratitude activates the production of dopamine. Dopamine is the brain’s pleasure chemical.

Increased psychological well-being is believed to improve self-esteem because your grateful attitude improves relationships and how people react to you. When you have good interactions with people, your self-esteem receives a boost.

Social benefits — Having an attitude of gratitude helps you build relationships. People around you are attracted to your positive nature and enjoy interacting with you.

Personality benefits — By nurturing the attitude of gratitude, you can transform your personality into being more optimistic. Gratitude is an energy that grows the spiritual side because you are in a state of praise. Being hateful, fearful, or angry is impossible when you are grateful.

Physical health — the physical effects of gratitude are a big deal! Research shows that when you are grateful, your body releases Oxytocin. The impact of this hormone in your body reduces blood pressure and is good for your heart.

The awareness of why it’s a big deal to have an attitude of gratitude facilitates wanting to stay connected with this energy. So, it’s time to start a new habit. Wherever you are in the gratitude spectrum, you can boost it up even more. It will only be of benefit to become even more grateful.

Upgrade in Gratitude

This is a good season for an upgrade to your current gratitude practice. In observance of Thanksgiving and the holidays, I am leading a 15-day Gratitude Challenge. Please stay connected with my social media, my Facebook or Instagram, and get your daily boost.

Albert Einstein said, “Everything is energy,” Dr. David R. Hawkins conducted a study that measured the energy in your emotions. He created the Map of Consciousness, providing a valuable understanding of why having an attitude of gratitude maintains you at a higher frequency, an expanded way of living.

I like how Wallace Wattles puts it in “The Science of Getting Rich.” He said, “The grateful mind is constantly fixed upon the best. Therefore, it tends to become the best; it takes the form or character of the best and will receive the best.” Gratitude truly changes everything.

A Transformational Habit

Gratitude is one of my daily practices. It helped me immensely while I was undergoing breast cancer treatments. I believe it was the one thing that affected my journey with getting back to health. It raised my way of feeling and being daily.

Knowing the power it had in my life and can have in yours, I developed an eBook called 3 Ways to Center Your Spirit; I invite you to get your free copy. It will help you get centered and connect with gratitude and your Source.

It is an easy practice to do if you have the commitment and decide to dedicate a few minutes daily. It becomes easier with repetition, so if you would like to develop better ways of being in 2023, start now. It takes time to form a habit, and my eBook will help you stay on track.
