Let Go and Let Flow Into Your Life

If you are stuck in your old way, then you are not in the Flow

Last week we talked about being more like water and learning to flow with life. Letting go and letting Infinite work thru us to fulfill our greater purpose. When we let go, we grow.

There was a time in my life when being in control felt excellent and safe. I thought I had minimized the surprises that could disrupt my life and felt secure that I had taken care of things; it took work. But being ‘in control,’ I was in friction with life, not in flow.

By surrendering control, it’s incredible what a different feeling I have. I feel connected and grounded and have a sense of freedom and security that I am on the right path. As I face life’s challenges, decisions, and situations, it’s a peace that I know I am supported while creating my life. I let go and let flow into my life.

Reflection for patterns

Part of letting go is examining parts of yourself that are no longer serving you. You have paradigms (habits, beliefs, values, and thoughts) that you realize are keeping you from being a better version of yourself. You long to change that part, be happier, and feel better about who you are.

Wanting to grow is the normal course of life. Recognizing that letting go of limiting paradigms is primary to evolving into who you are being called to be. You may have noticed one of the following as a paradigm you would like to transform.

You constantly feel drained because you tend to overdo, overwork, or have several competing initiatives, so you are always on the go.
You are inclined to have unproductive days, weeks, or months in your aspirations because you have a pattern of TV binging, lazy days, and inaction because you lack motivation.
You likely over ponder, over examine to the point of being frozen in fear to move ahead.
You are apt to overthink and second guess your actions and decisions.
You hold a stance that you are right when you relate to others, not allowing yourself to learn from other people or see different perspectives.
When you are faced with conflict and challenging situations, you would love to be able to choose a response instead of reacting with little thought.
There are so many scenarios to list, and you get the idea. Part of our journey is to grow and let go of habits, ways of being, and thinking that get in the form of who we see ourselves as. It is time to loosen the reigns of control or think, “I am (fill in the blank), and I will never change – that’s just the way I am.” If you are stuck in your old ways, then you are not in flow with life. Let go and let flow into your life.

Morning Calibration

A practice that I’ve benefited from is meditation. It’s a daily routine to sit with myself and hear from my inner wisdom what is for me to do that day. Meditation centers you and grounds you, so you live more intentionally. It aligns you with the person that you want to be.

Meditation can ease the way of letting go to letting growth occur in your life. It is a practice that helps you nurture your spiritual side, build your spiritual muscle, and become even more attuned to your intuition.

It doesn’t have to be an extended meditation time; you can start with 5 minutes. And you do not have to be an expert at it; you can sit quietly and observe your breathing, letting your thoughts pass gently through your mind. There is no need to resist the voice in your head; it is natural for thoughts and ideas to flow. Gently moving your attention to your breath, following the inhale and exhale will ease the chatter.

Once you are meditative, you can connect with your inner Self / Spirit and allow answers and inspiration to come through. It creates a space for you to be in the present, in gratitude for all there is, and intentionally move forward with your Becoming.

Invitation to Lifework . . .

Keeping in mind how growth has occurred in my life, the teachings and information I share with you, and knowing how important it is to form a habit of meditation, gratitude, and intention in our daily life, I created the My Morning Practice eBook. It is a short booklet that walks you through a process centering yourself with practices that will uplift your daily life. Each method allows you to connect with Spirit and form a habit that strengthens your resolve to address the specific paradigm hindering your advancement.

Please feel invited to receive this free gift, designed with you in mind. If you have a current meditation practice, you will still benefit from this eBook as it introduces two other ways of aligning with Spirit. Get your free copy of My Morning Practice here; it will be emailed to you.

A way to let go and let flow into your life is to wake up 5 to 10 minutes earlier and sit in the stillness of the morning in a quiet place that feels private and comfortable. Make this space your go-to environment when you want to be in the quiet of your thoughts and connect with inspiration.

What happens when you have a consistent practice?

Once you develop this practice into a daily one, you will feel a difference within; feel more grounded and connected to your path. You will understand how your breath is a centering tool for the present moment. Any time you think of a low-frequency vibrational emotion (fear, anger, shame, guilt, apathy), you can take 30 seconds to do all three practices to reset your day succinctly.

Sometimes we say, “Where did the day go? I wish I had more time”. Believe it or not, this is a way of slowing down time, by taking a few seconds to recenter yourself. You enter in partnership with Infinite’s wisdom to create what you would love instead of haphazardly reacting to the demands of your day. You become less reactive to life; you become conscious of the responses you want to give and how you want to show up in the world. You become closer to the true essence of yourself. You’ve let go, and you’re in flow.

You will experience a gradual change in thoughts and feel more at ease with your life. Your paradigm will not instantly disappear, but you will be given ideas, and inspirations on how to live into the intentions you are setting. It will be a true partnership with Spirit as you feel guided to the Becoming you see for yourself.

A Note of Caution: Be gentle with yourself in this process; new habits take willingness and a burning desire for change. The more committed you are to change, the more inclined you are to maintain the practice. Also, there may be times, despite meditating daily, you may still feel disconnected. Like with any relationship, it takes consistency, time, and effort to develop your bond.
