Creating the Results you Want
The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible.
~ Winston Churchill
Have you ever thought, “Life is hard, or why is my life harder than everyone else”? We have this conversation when things don’t go as planned, especially in a world bombarded with constant negative news. Negative thoughts resonate more easily, like tuning in to a negative TV channel.
We are in a sea of negativity, so no wonder why we tend to have uninspiring thoughts.
Positivity Frequency:
Consciously, we all understand that being positive is generally better than being negative, but why is that the case? Let’s delve into the reasons.
Firstly, positive thinking affects our mental and emotional well-being. Maintaining a positive outlook trains our minds to focus on solutions and opportunities rather than dwelling on problems. This shift in perspective helps reduce stress and anxiety, leading to improved mental health.
Secondly, positivity has a ripple effect on our relationships. When we exude positivity, we become more approachable and likable. People are naturally drawn to those who radiate positivity, as it creates an uplifting and enjoyable atmosphere. This, in turn, enhances our social connections and support systems, leading to a more fulfilling life.
Thirdly, positive thinking enhances our resilience. Life is filled with challenges, and having a positive mindset enables us to bounce back from setbacks more effectively. When faced with difficulties, we can maintain hope and confidence, enabling us to persevere and find alternative paths to success.
Also, positivity is closely linked to optimism, which has been shown to have numerous health benefits. Optimistic people tend to have stronger immune systems, lower levels of stress-related hormones, and reduced risks of chronic illnesses. A positive outlook on life may even lead to a longer lifespan.
You might think, “That all sounds great, but how can I become more positive?”
Tuning to the Frequency:
It’s not easy, and when you get started, you may feel like a fish swimming upstream. The good news is that positivity is a skill that can be cultivated and practiced.
Here are a few simple tips to help you foster a more positive mindset:
Practice gratitude: Take time each day to reflect on what you are grateful for. This simple exercise can shift your focus from what’s lacking in your life to the abundance of positive aspects.
Surround yourself with positivity: Spend time with people who uplift and inspire you. Avoid dwelling on negative conversations and seek out those who encourage and support your growth.
Challenge negative thoughts: When you catch yourself thinking negatively, consciously challenge those thoughts. Ask yourself for a more positive and constructive way to perceive the situation.
And despite understanding how to foster a positive mindset, it can still be difficult. Living in a sea of negativity pulls you back to what you know and are used to.
Make it Your Default Frequency:
Cultivating a positive demeanor becomes easier when you surround yourself with others who also value positivity. You no longer like an odd man out, making maintaining it easier.

Fear is a normal part of life but can stop us from moving forward. Understanding why we have fears can empower us, and learning how to overcome them is where our growth happens. For my client, recognizing the connection between her teacher’s comment and her limiting beliefs helped her regain her confidence and pursue success.
A tip on how to create a new belief:
As a coach and mentor, I’ve seen how beliefs can hold people back. Facing fear, doubt, and worry can weaken their hold on us. One way to do this is by journaling about our fears and the beliefs causing them. Then we can replace those old beliefs with new, positive ones using affirmations.
Let go of beliefs that keep you stuck. Use affirmations to repattern your ways of thinking, creating a new belief system to soar to success.
The Truth About Our Beliefs:
Our beliefs shape our lives and decisions. The key to our success lies in our ability to grow and let go of old beliefs that no longer serve us. By challenging our beliefs and conquering our fears, we can lead a more enriched and purposeful life.
